GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!

I am officially a soccer mom! Linds started soccer this past week and she is on the U5 Panthers team through the YMCA. I will say that she has yet to kick the ball during a game, but she gets out there and runs her little heart out.
She is so brave seeing as she is a head shorter than all the other kids! She is #9, she wanted to be 27 for her birthday but her XXS jersey didnt have room for a 2 digit # so we added them together and did 9. Check out the hairbow she is rocking, pretty cut huh!

Eric is helping to coach when needed and since the other coaches are gone on Saturday he is on his own, that should be interesting! Linds is really enjoying spending time with her daddy!

Time Away!

Well ever since I had Lindsay on July 27, 2004 I have never left them. I did leave Linds with Eric and the In-laws when I had Lydia, but that was it.

Finally I left them, and BIG NEWS. I didnt cry! My brother, sis-in-law and Eric and I went to Cedar Point and rode some scary roller coasters. Seriously I wont be doing that again. I did console myself with the fact that little teeny weeny 8 year olds were riding the coasters and if they survived I should too, right?

Well I did survive and it was a lot of fun! Sleeping through the night was a big shocker. I dont think I had done that since around March of 04.

The girls survived too, they stayed at my brother's house with Grandma and all their cousins and had a great time. Lydia learned how to say "mamaw" which made my mom really happy!! She loved her grandma and was really good, until someone else would try to talk to her.

I was really happy to see them when I got back and Lydia was extra huggy and maybe it made them appreciate me a teeny bit more!

Her is a google image of the Top Thrill Dragster that I rode on (and survived... barely). It shoots you from 0-120 in 4 secs! Scary stuff! This is a google pic but you can see the 90* drop!

College Friends

When I went to Indiana State I lived in a dorm room in Mills Hall, at the time it was the only all girls dorm, now it is Co-ed. Anyway, I met some of the best girls on this floor and we have been friends now for 12 years (almost exactly that long seeing as college is back in session this week).

We try to get together when we can, hopefully we can continue doing this once a year or so. We had a great time catching up and it was really funning seeing our own kids playing together.

There were 5 of us that were able to show up, three couldnt make, 1 because her little boy got chicken pox, another was on vacation and the last tried but stupid American Airlines kept her in Memphis for too too long!!

Here are some pics from us getting together. I should scan a pic of us back then but my hair was scary so I will not be doing that :D

Here are our kids, mine are the books ends, with Collin (Sally's little boy), Adelyn (Tiffany's little girl) and Maxwell (Lisa's little boy) hanging out between Linds and Lyds!

Here we are, back row
Sally and Lisa, front row
Susanne, Me and Tiffany!
I think we aged pretty well!

The tale of 2 unicorns

These are Lindsay's two unicorns. One came from her daddy for Valentine's Day 2007 the other we found at a Garage sale for $2. Anyway, 1 of the unicorns the one on the right in the picture is gone. Lindsay took him/her (how do you tell on a unicorn) with us out shopping with Grandma M and we just cant find him/her.

I retraced our steps which included an insane Antique Mall (really I didnt see many antiques, if I owned it I would call it Mall of Crap, but Decatur already has a place called "Olga's House of Stuff" so maybe mall of crap wouldnt be different enough from that. Anyway, we searched the antique mall and came up empty handed. I have a gut feeling that he/she is hiding somewhere in that mall or else she/he fell out of the car when we got out of the car at some point. Try explaining to a 4 year old that the unicorn is gone, probably forever and you get a ton of tears and whines. So while she has been informed of the loss I dont mention it because the whine cuts through me like a knife.

So if you are out and about at garage sales, malls of crap or a Walmart with really, really, really old stock feel free to pick up a pink and white unicorn and I will pay you back.

RIP garage sale unicorn
